Baianas Risograph Print
A 20cm square risograph print of baiana women from Brazil in traditional dress. You can find more of my work on instagram at @emma.make
Each print is different due to the nature of the printer. The prints are hand drawn, digitised and printed onto 140g ivory card. They are printed in Cambridge, UK by Earthbound Press using a risograph printer. They are unframed and 20x20cm
Risograph is an affordable printing technique that utilises soy inks. It's considered more environmentally friendly than traditional printing methods.
The printer gives a characterful texture to the print but also expect some mis-registration due to this technique (as seen in photos)
Prints will be posted in cardboard tubes from Lisbon, Portugal using correio azul. When you receive the print it will be tightly rolled. Roll it in the opposite direction to unroll.
