Recycled Chiffon Wildflower Scarf
A sustainable, vegan, and recycled chiffon version of my wildflower floral print scarf taken from my pattern collection 'wildflower'. 63cm square
The designs are inspired by nature, and the design of the scarves is based on European wildflowers. The patterns are developed initially in ink on paper then scanned, digitised and coloured.
Emma works with a sustainable printing company in Finland to create her organic cotton and silk scarves. The scarves are then sewn by a friendly tailor on Mill Road, Cambridge and Lisbon, Portugal depending where she is.
The U-circular Chiffon is made out of 100% recycled polyester and a lightweight fabric. It's a very transparent and supple fabric. Because of its transparency, the print is shown clearly on both the front and the backside of the fabric. The printing method is also sustainable.
Machine wash cold and iron on low. Do not tumble dry.
